Let's Talk About Investing - I have a friend. I met him years ago through a video game, but never in person because he's lived in Michigan his whole life.
Recently, we got to know each other's lives and the topic of investing came up.

Personally, I have a pile of loose change, and I've been using that money to build up my stock portfolio, but I've also been looking for a way to get involved in real estate.
A friend of mine introduced me to real estate crowdfunding and many platforms for research and selection.
After several days of researching platforms and the nature of real estate investing, I chose my platform and made my first investment.
But since I've been in the research process, I thought it would be interesting to read reviews of mobile apps for the platform.
How do I say this?
...stupid review.
Post one of my favourites:
“I invested thousands of dollars a year and a half ago, but my investment has increased exponentially. However, I was recently hospitalized and unable to work.
I asked for the funds to be released (about 30 days into the release date, I was told all payments were stopped, but 3 months have passed Since then and I still haven't received the money I put in.
If you are interested in short term investments, I would recommend opening a stock account with Wealthfront or opening a high yield savings account at a physical bank.
I don't know you but this person doesn't seem to understand that real estate is for long term investment and your money is very illiquid because it is tied to actual property.
Why do we bring this up today? To indicate this:
There are two types of clients.
Good people who are a pleasure to be around. And just like the fun people above, there are people who blame someone or something other than themselves when things go wrong.
And I'm sure you don't want to deal with the latter.
Well, enough talking about investing.
